Jason Reda, University of Illinois

Jason Reda’s 39-yard field goal with six seconds remaining lifted the Fighting Illini to a 23-20 upset victory over Michigan State. Earlier in the game, Reda connected on field goals from 27 and 34-yards. Reda’s performance also earned him the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honor.

Kevin Kelly, Penn State

Kevin Kelly was a perfect 4 for 4 in field goals as the helped the Nittany Lions defeat Northwestern 33-7. Kelly’s field goals came from 22, 33, 34, and 36 yards on the afternoon. Kelly was also went a perfect 3 for 3 in extra points. Currently, Kelly leads the nation in field goals made with 12 this season.

Alexis Serna, Oregon State University

Alexis Serna, last year’s Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Winner, blasted a 58-yard field goal against California this past weekend. Currently, that is the longest field goal in Division 1 football this season. Serna’s kick also matched the Oregon State school record. Serna also added a 40-yard field goal in the contest to go a perfect 2 for 2 in field goals.
