2006 — Torres has converted on 4-of-8 field goal attempts to open his first season as the starting UCF placekicker … All four of his makes have been from 22 yards out, but none were bigger than his field goal with six ticks remaining to lift UCF to a 23-22 victory over Marshall … He made 3-of-4 of his field goals against the Thundering Herd with his only other make coming in the USF game.

At UMASS — Played two seasons at UMass ... converted 9-of-15 field goals as a freshman, good for third in the Atlantic 10 Conference ... kicked 44 of 52 kickoffs into the endzone for touchbacks as a sophomore ... finished third in the A-10 in PAT kicking percentage (96.4) as a sophomore ... played one year of post-graduate ball for coach John Shuman at Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy ... made nine of 13 field goal attempts with a long of 53 yards during his lone season at Fork Union ... also had a punting average of 45.4 yards with a long punt of 85 yards, and recorded 26 touchbacks on kickoffs ... previously played at

High School — Played for North Rockland High School ... hit four of seven field goals during his senior year, with a long of 55 yards ... also punted for a 48.7 yard average as a senior with a long punt of 82 yards, while recording touchbacks on 52 of 55 kickoffs ... played in the 2002 New York-New Jersey All-Star Game.

Personal — Torres is the son of Anthony and Theresa Torres ... born in the Bronx, N.Y. ... a liberal studies major.
